What? When most of us are striving hard to get a visa for USA this man came back to his mother land way back in 1972 to serve it.

 Journey?Traveled a lot in journey of his life from a typical undeveloped village in Bihar to USA, village primary school to Netarhat, Science College Patna and then University of California, Berkley.The mathematician who challenged works of Great Scientist Albert Einstein.

 1961: Passed matriculation from Bihar Board

 1961: Admitted to the prestigious Science College, Patna

 1963: Went to University of California, Berkley to study Mathematics under Prof. John L. Kelley

 1963 – 1969: Pursued special MSc in Mathematics.

 1969: Got PhD from University of California, Berkley, USA

 1969: Joined NASA as an Associate Scientist Professor in Washington DC, USA

 1969 – 1972: Remained in NASA

 1972: Returned to India

 1972: Joined as a Lecturer in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.

 1972 – 1977: Joined as a lecturer in IIT Kanpur, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bombay and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata.

 1977: shows symptom of Mental illness, Schizophrenia, admitted to the mental hospital at Ranchi, then Bihar, now in Jharkhand.

 1977 – 1988: under treatment.

 1988- Left home without informing anyone.

 1988 – 1992: There was no information about him.

 1992-(Feb. Month): He was found in a poor condition in Siwan, Bihar.

 At Present-Staying in Home,under treatment.

 14th of March is World Mathematics day, this man needs some respect not for his brain but for his zeal to serve his mother land. Not many are blessed with this kind of attitude. The center and state government has hardly taken a note of his health.

Vallalar Birthday Today

Vallalar was born in South Arcot district , at a village called Maruthur, located near Chidambaram. His father Ramaiah Pillai was a village Munsif, and his mother was Chinnamayar. He was born on 5th October 1823 as a 5th child to this noble couple. Once a great Saint came to Chinnamayar for some food. She served him with a great respect! Pleased with the service of Chinnamayar, the saint offered her noble ash as Prasadam and blessed her saying " You shall very soon have a son like me born onto you ". It is said that the saint was Lord Siva himself. After receiving the noble ash, Chinnamayar had Vallalar as her 5th child! They named him after Lord Siva as Ramalingam. He had vision of various Devi’s forms.
